Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on a variety of vehicles, including light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and other complex mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles
  • Conduct light repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical systems
  • Work with service writers to assess customer needs and provide information or assistance
  • Manage concurrent tasks and prioritize work activities and time allocations
  • Document work performed, parts used, and findings observed on repair orders
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring
Preferred Certifications
  • ASE T4 (Brakes) certification
