Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Airgas. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing highway delivery equipment, including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair highway delivery equipment, including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps
  • Develop and implement solutions to specific problems within the supply chain and logistics environment
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, tube trailers, and associated equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades
  • Read and interpret equipment condition reports and repair orders
  • Communicate with supervisors and operators to clarify problems and discuss preventive techniques
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in highway equipment maintenance
  • A valid driver's license (regular)
  • Class A CDL is preferred but not required
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools and equipment
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical school classes preferred
  • Basic knowledge of transportation regulations
  • Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification preferred
  • Computer literacy; Google Chrome, TMT, on-board OEM computer diagnosis systems
  • Experience with ABS and DEF systems, including maintenance software programs
