Job Title: Paramedic

South Shore Health is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment, responding to requests for ALS intervention, and performing duties related to the provision of care and development of the community EMS system.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to requests for paramedic services in a timely and safe manner.
  • Provide emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment, adhering to Paramedic Protocols and Policies approved by SSHS and the ALS system Medical Director.
  • Perform duties related to the provision of care and development of the community EMS system.
  • Assist in the Hospital as assigned after appropriate credentialing.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the Community Paramedic class and clinical portion.
  • Prior experience as a provider of pre-hospital care in an emergency setting.
  • Critical care experience preferred/ALS transfers.
  • Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record, at time of hire, with annual verification required thereafter.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, EMS, BLS, VDL.
  • Preferred Licenses/Certifications: MA DRIVERS, EMT-P.
Work Schedule:

2-12hr shifts, Wednesday-Friday, 9a-9p.
