Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at South Shore Health. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients in a timely and safe manner.
  • Complete documentation and records according to department policy.
  • Ensure vehicle and equipment are ready for response at all times.
  • Rend pre-hospital care at EMT-B level.
  • Perform assigned duties in the Emergency Department under the supervision of the ED physicians.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees, community emergency service providers, hospital staff, physicians and other allied health professionals.
Requirements
  • One (1) year experience as an Emergency Medical Technician preferred.
  • Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record, at time of hire, with annual verification required thereafter.
  • BLS - EMT certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EMT- B certification.
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced or Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification.
Work Schedule

Rotating: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Monday, Friday. 10am-6pm
