Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to inform budgeting and forecasting decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Post-Award Finance to advance the strategic goals of the lab.
  • Build and maintain relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide analytical and problem-solving support to inform budgeting and financial decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial modeling and budgeting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Five (5) years of experience building complex financial models and conducting budget analysis, preferably at a large professional accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and budgeting software, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or advanced certification, such as CPA.
  • Previous budget and financial model development experience at a large accounting or consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of university budgeting processes and/or federal contract management.
Working Conditions
  • Sedentary work performed in a normal office environment.
  • Ability to attend meetings both on and off campus.
  • Spending long hours in front of a computer screen.
