Position Title: International Logistics Coordinator

Department: Sales Operations

Reports To: Director of International Business

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - In-office 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week based on operational requirements.

Overview: Daylight Transport is in search of an International Logistics Coordinator to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in managing, facilitating, and expanding our US / Mexico International Logistics Initiative. The Coordinator will act as a primary liaison for Clients, Customs Agents, Transport Providers, and internal teams regarding International shipments. Engagement will occur through in-person meetings, virtual discussions, and phone communications.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to this role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

  • Coordinate International shipment processes - ensuring alignment with customs agents and Mexican transport partners.
  • Engage directly with all relevant parties – including Clients, transport partners, customs agents, and internal teams.
  • Conduct pricing functions as required.
  • Assist in managing transport provider relationships.
  • Act as a champion for service excellence.
  • Support Sales initiatives as necessary.
  • Monitor, trace, and expedite International shipments.

Supervisory Role: None.

Education and Experience:

Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of experience in International shipping and a solid understanding of US and Mexican Customs Clearance Operations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some post-secondary education preferred.

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, rates, transit times, mileage, and metric/imperial conversions.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address practical issues and manage various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Capability to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.

Additional Skills: Proficient in computer applications.
