We are currently seeking a Scheduler (P6) to become a vital part of our Project Controls Team. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in scheduling activities across multiple disciplines. A background in capital projects, turnarounds, outages, or daily maintenance scheduling is essential. Responsibilities may include scheduling for Maintenance, Turnarounds, Small Capital Projects, or a combination thereof.


Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience utilizing Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software in various industrial settings, including maintenance, construction, and capital projects.
  • At least two (2) years of mechanical craft experience on-site or a BS degree in construction management or a related field. Additional certifications such as NCCER, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction or maintenance turnaround are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace is required.
  • Experience with planning software applications is preferred; familiarity with Turner Applications such as WinTake, QuickPlan, and Win PCS is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project controls cycles and associated applications.
  • Strong dedication to safety and environmental excellence.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of managing pressure and setbacks effectively.
  • Willingness to comply with company drug, alcohol, and physical evaluation policies.
  • Must meet the requirements to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Knowledge of P6 and SAP is essential.

Functional Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive, resource-loaded schedule utilizing Finish to Start relationships. Establish a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with key milestone deliverables, applying Critical Path Method (CPM) to track progress and schedule adherence. Prepare histograms and present reports to management, collaborating with clients on naming conventions, WBS, formats, and activity codes. Work closely with planners to determine the most effective construction path for maintenance to system turnover, documenting assumptions and clarifications related to schedule estimates. Integrate Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) processes into the schedule, emphasizing the transition from construction or maintenance to system turnover. Monitor performance of Engineer Work Packages (EWP), Procurement Work Packages (PWP), and Installation Work Packages (IWP) as necessary. Collaborate with various disciplines and leadership to secure agreement on the final schedule before field issuance. Track progress against the established baseline and produce resource histograms and earned value analysis using CPM principles. Engage with field supervision to validate progress and strategize the path forward, including recovery actions.

Physical Requirements:

The role may involve activities such as climbing ladders and scaffolds, maintaining balance at various heights, reaching in all directions, handling objects and materials, lifting, carrying, standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and other physical tasks.
