Job Summary:

As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist at Advocate Aurora Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated technologist to join our team in this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Proficiently operate angiographic and ultrasound equipment to perform basic to advanced procedures on inpatients and outpatients.
Assist with interventional and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant, working seamlessly with attending and resident physicians.
Serve as a resource to physicians on procedural equipment options and provide assistance with emergency procedures as needed.
Monitor patients and alert staff of life-threatening changes in patient status, applying the defibrillator and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required.
Identify and process images, ensuring they are of diagnostic quality, and assist clinical engineering staff in evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality.

Requirements:

Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin and Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Typically requires 2 years of experience in an Interventional Radiologic Technologist role.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing, and operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
