Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating angiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, assisting with interventional and surgical procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Operate angiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, vascular stenting, and embolization.
  • Assist with interventional and surgical procedures, receiving direction from attending and resident physicians.
  • Monitor patients and alert staff to life-threatening changes in patient status.
  • Apply the defibrillator and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
  • Identify and process images, ensuring diagnostic quality.
  • Assist clinical engineering staff in evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality.
  • Compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure accurate exam performance.
  • Post-process images, accurately identifying and labeling patient information.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
