Basic Qualifications Education Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance required within a reasonable time from the point of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will: Drive research initiatives to incorporate new functionalities into our Platform. Assist in decomposing tasks and participate in planning sessions. Establish technical goals for the team. Develop automation solutions to create and sustain multiple PaaS deployments. Automatically configure and implement PaaS infrastructure, which includes identity and access management, network design, application security, logging, monitoring, deployment, and more. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deploy solutions and conduct workshops aimed at educating and empowering them. Work closely with our team to strategize significant updates and enhancements to our products. Mentor engineering teams in advancing Cloud technologies. In this role, you will serve as the Platform Engineer collaborating with key internal and external Platform users.

Together with the team, you will facilitate the successful deployment of a PaaS in the Cloud through architectural guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more.

Candidates should have demonstrated strengths and experience in some of the following areas:
Familiarity with the distinctions between public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and hybrid cloud environments. Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes. Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef. Proven experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation. Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration. Effective communication and meticulous attention to detail. Other beneficial experience includes: IT security practices encompassing encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing. Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO. Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift. Cloud automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer. Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).
