LPN - PRN - Hematology Specialist

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care at Grady Health System. As a PRN LPN, you will work under the supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Implement and evaluate the delivery of healthcare services and tasks
- Provide patient education and advocacy
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Supervise unlicensed personnel as needed
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing as a Graduate Practical Nurse
- Current Georgia License as a Practical Nurse
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification Required
PRN staff are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per schedule, with hours based on the needs of the unit(s). Shifts may vary in length, and PRN nurses must be flexible with regard to floating to other areas within the department.
Weekend and Holiday Requirements- One (1) weekend shift per 4-week schedule (Friday 7pm – Monday 7am)
- Two (2) holidays per year: One major (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) and one minor (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, or Martin Luther King Day)
Four 12-hour shifts per 4-week schedule or four clinic (outpatient) shifts per 4-week schedule.
