Wastewater Treatment Operations Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe collection, transportation, and treatment of wastewater generated by our community. This position involves working in a team environment to support the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility as well as off-site pump stations.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $24.72 per hour based on the location and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and document plant and pump station processes to ensure proper operations and detect common equipment failures.
- Perform specific laboratory analysis for compliance by collecting samples and using standard methods and techniques.
- Assist in performing preventative and general maintenance on assigned equipment by adjusting and troubleshooting complex pumps, valves, motors, and other equipment.
- Maintain and update operational and maintenance records, logs, and databases.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or vocational trade such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a science field in the areas of biology, microbiology, or chemistry is required.
- A driver's license and an acceptable driving record are also required.
