Property Maintenance Associate

Job Summary:

The Property Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of both the housing properties inside and outside. This includes snow removal, swapping trash bins, and following a property cleaning list. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with little supervision and have strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vacuum building halls & stairwells and any other common space.
  • Mop floor areas.
  • Walk Property inside and outside. Pick up trash, look for any damaged areas or items needing maintenance.
  • Pull weeds in rock beds, pick up landscaping rocks and return rocks to landscaped area.
  • Complete turnovers when needed. Ensure units are completely cleaned for new residents.
  • Remove snow/ice from sidewalks and salt/sand as needed.
  • Clean windows & doors in common areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles, both inside and outside
  • Dust blinds, furniture, & any other common areas.
  • Change hallway & common area light bulbs.
  • Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Inspect irrigation system to ensure all zones are working properly. Report any concerns to management.

Requirements:

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to proactively manage resources.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with the Property Manager and Maintenance Technician.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of relevant work experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Pass a drug test and background check.
  • AA/EEO/M/F/Vet/Disabled.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Caretaker: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Dayton, MN: Relocate after starting work (Required)
