Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team at Pet Food Express. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, answering their questions, and providing tailored recommendations to help them live their best possible lives with their pets.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with Customers: Actively approach and engage with our two-legged and four-legged customers to provide a friendly and informative shopping experience.
  • Answer Customer Questions: Use your knowledge of pet products to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
  • Learn and Grow: Participate in daily training and continuous educational programs to enhance your product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Operate the Cash Register: Operate the cash register in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Unload Shipments and Stock the Store: Unload shipments and stock the store, including heavy lifting.
  • Clean and Maintain the Store: Participate in cleaning and maintaining the store, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning pet messes as needed.
Qualifications
  • Pet Passion: A passion for pets and people is essential for this role.
  • Excellent Customer Service: A warm and welcoming personality and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Sales and/or Pet Experience: Sales and/or pet experience is a plus.
  • Eagerness to Learn: Eagerness to learn and willingness to participate in daily educational activities.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
