Job Title

Education Coordinator

The New Britain Museum of American Art is seeking an experienced Education Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of school programs, including scheduling, communication with teachers and schools, grant tracking, and program evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage school programs, including scheduling, communication, and grant tracking.
  • Develop and implement educational programming for Pre K-12 students.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Learning and Engagement to develop and implement gallery, studio, and online curriculum.
  • Schedule and manage teacher professional development workshops.
  • Provide administrative and collaborative support to the Director of Learning and Engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum two to three years of experience working in education, art education, or museums.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate well with visitors and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of current museum and informal educational practices.
  • Research, writing, editing, and information management skills.
  • Proven project planning, coordination, and evaluation skills.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
