As a Mammo Technologist, you will maintain a high standard of medical ethics and be self-motivated to increase your level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Utilize innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for patients and their families.
* Act professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience and not operational rivalries or roadblocks to care.
* Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of x-ray and mammographic equipment and their related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position patients for appropriate procedures using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
* Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
* Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
* Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed.
* Establish and maintain lines of communication with all other staff members and radiologists to ensure an effective and harmonious working environment.
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
* Maintain awareness of and practice established radiation safety standards in carrying out duties.

**Qualifications:**

* Required Education and Experience: Associates Degree, Allied Health or Radiologic Technology
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years imaging experience
* Required Licensure and Certifications: ARRT (R)(M); MRT
