Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources leader to join our team at the State of California. As a Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory), you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring our Classification and Recruitment, Transactions, Position Control, Disability, and Reasonable Accommodation teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment and hiring strategies to attract top talent.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful completion of projects and tasks.
  • Collaborate with executive management to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with civil services hiring rules, transaction rules, and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and policies to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing civil services hiring rules, including service exams and certification rules.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing transaction rules.
  • Position Control experience.
  • Recruitment experience.
  • Disability/Reasonable Accommodation experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience presenting to executive management.
  • Experience creating processes, procedures, and/or policies.
