Collaborating closely with both the Sales and Engineering teams, you will contribute to acquiring new business and work alongside various departments to enhance the tools and resources that lead to improved sales processes, increased customer satisfaction, and superior products.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with sales leaders to strategically guide the pre-sales journey and facilitate solution discovery discussions with clients and partners.
- Conduct or support tailored product demonstrations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop product demonstration scripts, scenarios, and testing protocols to showcase potential solutions that validate value propositions and assist with product demonstrations.
- Rapidly acquire and articulate the value proposition of FairCom's database software solutions (FairCom DB, EDGE, and RTG).
- Engage in frequent travel to client locations, trade shows, and other events to support pre-sale presentations, demonstrations, and product implementations & training for both new and existing customers.
- Act as the technical authority on systems integrations during significant sales opportunities, including the preparation and delivery of proposals, RFPs, and custom proof-of-concept evaluations to illustrate FairCom's product capabilities in meeting client needs.
- Evaluate and prioritize incoming support requests, including phone, voicemail, and email inquiries from users facing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other FairCom product challenges.
- Assist in maintaining FairCom's Customer Service Software (Zendesk), CRM (HubSpot), and project management tools (Jira).
- Provide clear, concise, and comprehensible answers to complex technical inquiries.
- Deliver 24/7 support with the Solutions Engineering team and occasionally participate in after-hours on-call shifts.
- Facilitate the transition of customers from pre-sale to post-sale onboarding and implementation to ensure they meet their objectives.
- Utilize knowledge of customer requirements and integration processes to actively engage in the QA and software development lifecycle.
- Consult with the Sales Director, Chief Architect, and Senior Software Engineers to gather insights regarding program intent, functions, data requirements, input/output specifications, internal/external checks & controls, and hardware & operating system environments, serving as a liaison between sales and engineering.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Python, Java, or PHP.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- A minimum of 2 years in Technical Sales.
- At least 5 years in Customer Service roles.
- Familiarity with Zendesk, CRM software, and preferably Jira.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of communicating effectively with programmers, architects, and executive-level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Inbound & Outbound Sales tools (Automation, Bots, etc.).
- Sales experience within the DBMS sector.
- Familiarity with IoT / IIoT and Raspberry Pi.
- Knowledge or experience with PLCs or similar hardware.
