Aerospace Assembly Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Assembly Specialist to join our team at Strom Aviation. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for performing complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
- Thoroughly understand aircraft structural modification and repair and be able to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
- Operate unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and sheers.
- Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work, including pull holes, match & back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
- Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.
Requirements
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- 7+ years of aerospace systems experience with hydraulics, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste, and potable water systems.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic, and sense of urgency for completing assigned tasks/work.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
