Hunter Truck is seeking a skilled Parts Counter Person to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling parts to customers, both in-store and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Pull and fill orders from stock.
- Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
- Monitor open orders for pickup and ensure parts are restocked or returned promptly if not picked up.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge is required.
