Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation and Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to maintenance calls and address spills, breaks, or other accidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the general upkeep and safety of the facility, including sweeping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning windows.
  • Operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, as well as basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Properly use equipment, handle products, and keep accurate logs, following sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines.
  • Comply with Wegmans policies, federal and state laws, and Simplification 5S procedures.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Custodial/janitorial experience a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
