Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients and obtain necessary demographic and insurance information
  • Verify patient information and obtain signatures on required hospital and regulatory forms
  • Assess patient financial status and obtain applicable payments prior to services being provided
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and third-party payers
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year experience with automated patient information systems and thorough knowledge of computerized admitting process
  • Accurate typing skills and knowledge of filing and bookkeeping
  • Pleasant personality and ability to work well in a team environment
