SUE Technician III

We are seeking a highly skilled SUE Technician III to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our SUE Services team, you will play a critical role in mitigating risks associated with new infrastructure design and construction.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with a team of experts to tackle a wide range of projects, utilizing electromagnetic and geophysical technologies to designate existing utilities.
- Read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings, and highway design plans to ensure accurate project execution.
- Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck, performing test holes to expose utilities and maintaining traffic control.
- Coordinate survey work with SUE teams and communicate with utility companies and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Supervise field crew activities and train junior crew members to ensure high-quality work and efficient project execution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in using electromagnetic and geophysical designation technologies.
- Experience with vacuum excavation is preferred.
- Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and learn new software.
- Proficient communication and internal collaboration skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasionally travel out of town.
- Good driving skills and a clean driving record are essential.
- Prioritization of safety for yourself and others is mandatory.
