Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of our restaurant, ensuring that all activities are consistent with and supportive of our business plan. This includes managing restaurant operations, leading a high-performing team, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience
    • Model and create an environment where the guest is always right, ensuring a positive guest service experience.
    • Respond promptly and positively to guest concerns.
  • Team Management
    • Hire high-quality team members who demonstrate and ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
    • Ensure all team members are trained and empowered to deliver total guest satisfaction.
    • Evaluate team members' ability to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Business Operations
    • Develop and execute the business plan, including fiscal responsibilities, manpower planning, and local restaurant marketing.
    • Utilize labor effectively to meet budget.
    • Responsible for financial results.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Execute company-wide marketing programs.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Enforce all labor laws (federal, state, and local).
    • Uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team members.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in a management position, preferably in the restaurant industry.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Basic knowledge of computers.
    • Financial/analytical aptitude, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and P&L management.
    • Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
    • Team building skills.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Abilities
    • Ability to work long hours.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to work around heat.
    • Ability to work around others in close quarters.
    • Ability to move throughout the restaurant and observe restaurant operations and team member work performance.
    • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds comfortably.
    • Ability to work with various cleaning products.
