Job Title: Field Functionality Technician

The Field Functionality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of electronic demonstration displays in Best Buy retail stores. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience: Build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions to meet their expectations.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low-voltage displays, associated systems, and company electronic systems.
  • Communication: Send detailed troubleshooting information via email to retail partners and ensure they follow standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with retail partners, district, and market teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Project Management: Provide regular system checks, including local off-air signal and physical inventory port functionality, and handle complex technology scope.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance and coaching to project teams on functionality standard operating procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide detailed updates to partners and offer quality feedback to improve existing processes.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic displays and other technical components.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Able to safely use small hand tools, light-duty power tools, and other in-house equipment.
  • Travel: May spend up to 50% of the year traveling.
