Job Overview

Position Summary:
Maxwell Plumb Mechanical is looking for a qualified and proficient Pump Systems Technician. The successful candidate will be tasked with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various pump systems and plumbing infrastructures. This position demands a solid grasp of plumbing mechanics, strong troubleshooting skills, and the capability to resolve intricate issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of diverse pump types, including but not limited to centrifugal, submersible, and booster pumps.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of pump and plumbing systems to determine underlying problems and suggest suitable repair or replacement options.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance activities to guarantee the efficiency and durability of pumps and plumbing systems, including the repair and replacement of plumbing fixtures, pipes, and valves as necessary.
  • Test and calibrate pumps to confirm proper functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify and rectify leaks within plumbing systems, performing pressure tests and leak inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch, management, and installation teams.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the company vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Keep inventory on the service vehicle current and organized.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
  • Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Engage in training opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain necessary certifications, with support provided by the company.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a pump technician, plumbing mechanic, or in a related role.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, pumps, and associated equipment.
  • Skilled in the use of plumbing tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Compensation: $40.00 per hour
