Manufacturing Engineer Co-op

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Co-op to join our Advanced Structures team in Fort Worth. As a Co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in LEAN Manufacturing Events and contribute to Visual Management & Control, Layout, Flow & Linkage, and Standard Work relating to Franchise Approach.
- Gain experience in leading the coordination of production and engineering support to optimize production efforts.
- Plan, design, and implement production processes and layouts across the global network of Wheel and Brake MRO service centers.
- Manage medium to large-scale projects from initial concept to full implementation across multiple facilities.
- Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
- Determine parts and tooling needed to achieve production goals according to product specification.
- Application of state-of-the-art technology, methods, equipment, waste disposal processes, and utilities to preserve and extend the life of the plant and its related infrastructure.
- How to support Process Improvement teams and Process Improvement philosophy.
- Effective collaboration with peers in operations, engineering, service center staff, or independently to develop and implement improved processes to increase efficiency, reduce turn times, and enhance health and safety of the workplace.
- Gain experience in drafting and executing CAPEX spending plan and tracking tool for and maintain green rating for all metrics related to CAPEX.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run January - July/August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2025.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with CAD or model-based software.
- Experience with data analytics and data visualization.
