Job Summary

Overview: Collaborates with warehouse staff to prepare and transport merchandise in accordance with established safety, performance, and accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follows directives from Warehouse Management regarding functions, duties, and procedures.
  • Receives, unloads, moves, and loads merchandise efficiently.
  • Maintains the Purchasing system (experience with Birchstreet is preferred).
  • Confirms accurate counts of received items and records any discrepancies or damages.
  • Distributes items to designated locations and secures signatures to confirm delivery and receipt.
  • Ensures proper storage of inventory to prevent spills or spoilage, adhering to stock rotation schedules.
  • Keeps the work area safe and orderly, reporting any hazardous conditions.
  • Manages stock control, including planning future needs, adjusting par levels, processing stock orders, and maintaining delivery schedules.
  • Utilizes FIFO system to minimize waste effectively.
  • Operates forklift, pallet jack, or light utility cart as needed; training will be provided.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75lbs.
  • Capability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic proficiency in English writing, reading, and mathematics.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
