Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Firelands Regional Medical Center. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing nutritional care to patients, conducting nutrition assessments, and supervising the work of Food Production Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and provide nutritional care to patients
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and develop personalized diet plans
  • Supervise the work of Food Production Supervisors related to clinical patient services
  • Interview patients and/or family members to gather information about food habits and preferences
  • Screen medical records for pertinent information and document assessments as needed
  • Calculate diets for diabetic patients and other modified diets, and provide diet counseling as needed
  • Assess and calculate enteral and parenteral feedings
  • Chart patient information in medical records using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
  • Review cycle menus for patients prior to implementation and review diet manual
  • Serve as a resource for foodservice staff to assist in providing accurate diets per documented order
  • Participate in Community Nutritional Programs
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Medical Dietetics and/or nutrition
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian licensed in the State of Ohio, or eligible for licensure
  • Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy
  • No experience necessary
  • Successful completion of a 90-day probationary period
