Role Summary

The Ambulatory Nurse Coordinator position at MedStar Health offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of patient care in a specialized ambulatory field. As a member of the Division of Nursing's (DON), you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the operations of designated ambulatory practice(s) associates.

About the Role

This position is responsible for supervising clinical and support staff, providing direct patient care, and assisting physicians with patient care. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures in consultation with physicians and administrative director of the Cancer Institute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops goal/objectives for the work group to contribute to the achievement of the business strategy.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day patient flow of designated ambulatory practices.
  • Supervises clinical and support staff, including establishing work schedules, making daily assignments, and evaluating performance.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Active DC RN License.
  • 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job-related nursing and medical office practice experience, preferably in a multiple physician practice.
