We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory test results to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in all assigned departments of the clinical laboratory.
- Follow established procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Assess acceptability of specimens for analysis and maintain integrity of the specimens throughout the entire testing process.
- Operate all laboratory equipment per standard operating procedures to ensure accurate patient test results.
- Recognize critical and/or life-threatening results and notify the appropriate clinical personnel per hospital policy.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science and MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail.
