- Assist with Excavation and Soil Remediation: Collaborate with the construction team to execute excavation and hand excavation of contaminated soils.
- Perform Manual Duties: Operate manual and mechanical clearing equipment, power washers, and other general construction tasks as required.
- Read and Comply with Safety Data Sheets: Familiarize yourself with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals present at the hazardous waste site.
- Execute Tasks from Instructions: Follow detailed written and oral instructions to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate Effectively: Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources with the team.
- Read and Comply with Safety Plans and Procedures: Familiarize yourself with safety plans, rules, maintenance instructions, training manuals, MSDS's, warning tags, traffic signs, and procedure manuals.
- Perform Additional Assignments: Complete special projects and assignments as directed by your supervisor.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Laborer 1: Zero plus year of construction laborer experience; Laborer 2: Two plus years of construction laborer experience; Laborer 3: Five plus years of construction laborer experience.
- Valid Driver's License: Preferred.
- TWIC Card Holder: Preferred.
- Safety Training: 40 Hour HAZWOPER training, Competent Person Safety Training, 8-Hour Supervisory Training, 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training, and First Aid and CPR.
- Work Extended Hours: Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Highly Motivated: Demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
- Strong Work Ethic: Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
