Summary/Objective:The Vapor Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting. Responsibilities:
  • Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings.
  • Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
  • Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. 
  • Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity.

Qualifications: 
  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
  • Sand blasting experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ice blasting experience preferred, but not required
  • General labor experience is a plus.
  • TWIC card required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must pass a hair and urine drug screen.
  • Must pass a personal background check.
  • Must pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) check.
  • Understand and follows verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic Safety Training Skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned. 
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Physically capable to stand and/or walk continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
  • Physically capable to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
