Job Overview

The eCommerce Logistics Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of order fulfillment and packaging for a diverse range of products with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the shipping timetable for daily fulfillment tasks.
  • Review and authorize shipments, both outgoing and incoming.
  • Ensure that completed orders adhere to company quality benchmarks and that documentation is accurate and properly signed.

  • Interpret Bills of Materials (BOM) for assembly units.
  • Accurately label units and packages for shipment.
  • Identify and document any defects or discrepancies during the workflow.
  • Safely operate a pallet jack and forklift for inventory management and packaging tasks.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and assist colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols for self and team members.
  • Effectively communicate necessary updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on best practices.
  • Support On-Time Delivery goals by working closely with the Customer Experience team to prioritize and expedite orders.
  • Encourage and cultivate teamwork within the Shipping/Receiving department to meet performance and productivity objectives.
  • Receive goods and verify the quality and quantity of items unloaded from transportation vehicles; report any discrepancies promptly.
  • Document and verify all items prepared for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records for various categories, including returns and reusable pallets.
  • Keep a detailed database of shipment information to ensure customer orders are current and that necessary billing documents are provided to accounting or relevant departments.
  • Alert supervisors to significant discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
  • Prepare shipping documentation such as bills of lading and truck tickets.
  • Transport materials on the shipping dock using appropriate equipment as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory management software for record-keeping and reporting.
Work Environment:
  • Work is conducted in a climate-controlled facility.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
  • Involves prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Fast-paced work environment.
