Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Corporate Customer Service Representative to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a key member of our customer service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with a variety of inquiries, including freight pickup requests, rate quotes, and shipment tracing.
  • Communication: Respond to customer emails, voicemails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to efficiently and effectively answer group calls and emails.
  • Process Improvement: Provide feedback on potential process improvements and recommendations to enhance customer requests.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with break, lunch, and vacation support for the Reception position.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and able to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately and efficiently address customer requests.
