Dean of Student Success

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to serve as the Dean of Student Success at City College of San Francisco. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the college's student success initiatives and ensuring that students have access to the resources and support they need to achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for the college's student success initiatives, including academic counseling, student support services, and retention programs.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes, including graduation rates, transfer rates, and student satisfaction.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify and address barriers to student success, including equity and inclusion issues.
- Develop and manage budgets for student success initiatives, including personnel, programs, and services.
- Provide supervision and support to student success staff, including academic advisors, counselors, and retention specialists.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in student success and higher education, and apply this knowledge to inform college-wide initiatives and policies.
- Master's degree or higher in education, leadership, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in student affairs or a related field, with a focus on student success and retention.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective student success initiatives, including academic support services and retention programs.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and support staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Experience working in a community college or higher education setting.
- Knowledge of student success theories and models, including the Community College Student Success Model.
- Experience with data-driven decision making and assessment, including the use of metrics and analytics to inform student success initiatives.
- Strong understanding of equity and inclusion principles, and experience developing and implementing initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
