Position: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Location: Hackensack, NJ

Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) who possesses a strong background in Critical Care and Wound Management. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering extensive respiratory support to patients facing severe health challenges while also assisting in the management of wounds as required. The CRT will work closely with various healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation:
    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' respiratory conditions, including monitoring vital signs, oxygen levels, and lung performance.
    • Continuously assess and track patients' health to detect any changes and respond effectively.
  • Respiratory Interventions:
    • Administer various respiratory treatments, such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, mechanical ventilation, and airway management.
    • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and execute personalized treatment strategies.
  • Wound Management:
    • Support the evaluation and treatment of patients with respiratory-related wounds, including those associated with tracheostomy and ventilator use.
    • Deliver wound care services and instruct patients and their families on appropriate care practices.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work alongside physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure effective communication.
    • Engage in multidisciplinary discussions to review patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain precise and thorough patient documentation, recording assessments, treatments, and responses in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure prompt completion of documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Participate in initiatives aimed at quality improvement and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
    • Stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in respiratory therapy and wound care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Experience in critical care and wound management is preferred.
