Electrical Engineering Manager

Our client, a leading player in the medical robotics industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join their Global R&D team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art medical devices that improve minimally invasive surgery through digital laparoscopy.

The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled electrical engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality electrical systems and components. Your technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills will be instrumental in driving our company's success and making a positive impact on healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the design and development of electrical systems and components for medical devices, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure electrical designs are optimized for performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Manage multiple electrical engineering projects, setting clear objectives, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Work directly with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of designs and materials.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and other teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into medical devices.
  • Work with regulatory affairs and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in electrical engineering, with a focus on medical devices or other regulated industries.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems as they pertain to electrical products from a drawing and design perspective.
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical system design, circuitry, and components.
  • Experience in managing and leading engineering teams, with a track record of successful project execution.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
