Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Crew Operator to join our team at Southland Holdings LLC. As a key member of our infrastructure construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of pipes for sewer and water lines, operating heavy equipment, and performing daily checks on equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of pipes for sewer and water lines
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators and rubber tire loaders, safely and efficiently
  • Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Communicate effectively with Foreman/Superintendent and crew members to accomplish tasks safely
  • Safely dig and backfill as directed by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Understand basic principles of laying water main and gravity storm drain
  • Ability to operate a rubber tire loader when needed
  • Must be willing to help crew with other activities when an operator is not needed
  • Proficient at layout reading survey points and measuring elevations
  • Good communication skills to work effectively and safely
  • Ability to work overtime as required
