Job Title: Field Service Technician

At Motorola Solutions, we're committed to helping people be their best in the moments that matter. As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our highly technical communications systems at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post-sale installation, optimization, maintenance, and management of highly technical mission-critical communication systems.
  • Maintain optimal performance levels across an integrated system while taking a proactive approach to system-level alarms and errors.
  • Perform system hardware and software installation and optimization, including advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Manage system availability through routine system maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered during system implementation, upgrades, or support issues.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics, systems, field service, network support, IT support, testing, LMR, RF systems, radio communications, radio frequency, Motorola equipment, wired/wireless communication systems, IT systems, telecommunications, public safety, engineering, networking equipment, IP networking, solutions architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or military experience.
  • Associates degree or EET, technical certified, project management, IT certified, or military technical certified.
  • CET will be required within 6 months of hiring.
  • FCC license and industry certifications are a plus.
