About the Role

The Senior Technical Program Manager will oversee the orchestration and execution of server platform initiatives throughout the entire product lifecycle, guiding design and development efforts from initial concept and planning through to production, launch, and eventual phase-out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Architecture teams to effectively convert product specifications into actionable program outcomes.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to develop and launch products on schedule, aligned with product specifications.
  • Direct requirement definition, planning, development, and product launch activities.
  • Manage enhancements, quality assurance, and continuity of supply for features.
  • Engage with sales teams to relay organizational information, strategies, and capabilities.
  • Oversee the execution of engineering solutions, which may encompass: Printed Circuit Boards, Mechanical, Power, OS, Firmware, BIOS, Solution Software, Testing, Diagnostics, and vendor management.
  • Ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and serviceable.
  • Facilitate weekly program core team meetings with cross-functional teams to provide updates, monitor progress, and ensure the program meets upcoming milestones.
  • Identify and communicate program risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate suitable hardware and software engineering solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the development cycle and share project information with stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Publish relevant metrics such as KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) as required by the program or by the Office of Technical Program Management.
  • Facilitate bill of materials review meetings from the initial prototype stage through each phase of product development up to production.
  • Support engineering and configuration management teams in managing the BOM through the lifecycle of preliminary, prototype, pre-production, and production stages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Server Platform development; 6+ years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong understanding of x86 server system architecture.
  • Excellent cross-functional team leadership, interpersonal skills, and adaptable communication style.
  • Comprehensive understanding of system-level server platforms and the interaction of each component within the system.
  • Robust project management skills in developing schedules and tracking milestones.
