Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Graveyard Shift to join our team at A&A Ready Mixed Concrete. As a valued member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure compliance with DOT and company standards.
  • Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of plant and yard equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or technical school certificate in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with welding and metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

The employee is regularly exposed to wet or slippery ground conditions.

Employees must wear the required personal protective equipment; up to and including safety vest, hard hat, ear protection, gloves, and safety glasses.

Able to climb height up to 10 feet.
