Position: High School Electives Lab Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and skilled High School Teacher to contribute to the educational mission at RMA Texas Public Schools. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in guiding students through subject matter and essential skills that foster their growth into informed, responsible, and capable individuals. This position demands a strong dedication to teaching, a focus on student achievement, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse educational community.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Valid teaching certification as mandated by relevant federal, state, or local regulations, including compliance with the No Child Left Behind Act.
  • Experience or formal training in supporting "at-risk" students is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact courteously and effectively with parents, students, and colleagues.
  • Capability to educate and manage a diverse student population from various socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and management.

As a High School Teacher at RMA, you will be responsible for implementing the school's educational standards and mission while upholding student conduct policies. Your role will include safeguarding students and school property, maintaining precise records, and continuously enhancing your professional development. Participation in staff meetings, committee involvement, and nurturing collaborative relationships with students, staff, and parents are vital components of this position.

In the classroom, you will design and deliver lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering an engaging and structured learning atmosphere. You will utilize positive behavior interventions, assess and document student progress, and address learning obstacles with the support of specialists. Additionally, you will oversee and evaluate the contributions of educational assistants and volunteers, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience for all students.
