Job Summary:

As a CAD Operator at Delaware Racing Association, you will be responsible for creating accurate measurements of existing structures and developing as-built drawings. You will also be responsible for all computer-aided design duties, including design, drawing, replication, and cataloged storage of architectural drawings and blueprints. Additionally, you will be responsible for transposing existing drawings and creating accurate drawings of existing structures, while referencing local, state, and federal construction codes as applicable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate measurements of existing structures and create as-built drawings.
  • Perform all computer-aided design duties, including design, drawing, replication, and cataloged storage of architectural drawings and blueprints.
  • Transpose existing drawings and create accurate drawings of existing structures.
  • Reference local, state, and federal construction codes as applicable.
  • Design new floor plans and interpret existing drawings.
  • Promote outstanding customer relations and honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Two (2) or more years of experience with architectural drawing using AutoCAD version 2023.
  • Knowledge of commercial building construction methods, floor plans, and structural codes to obtain permits.
  • Field work experience collecting information for renovation design necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/or execute written, verbal, and/or demonstrated directions, explanations, and guidance.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work in extremes of weather, on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
