Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafting/CAD Technician II to join our global drafting department. As a vital member of our team, you will assist in the creation, revision, and storage of electronic drawing files using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for custom-designed process equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Correct redlined models and drawings issued by the drafting lead or engineering/development teams.
  • Convert legacy hand-drawn and AutoCAD drawings into 3D models and associative drawings.
  • Create 2D drawings from existing 3D models provided by other users.
  • Gather data from engineering teams and incorporate relevant information into the appropriate drawings.
  • Collect measurements and information from the production floor to integrate into drawings.
Work Environment:
  • This position is contract-based through a third party, typically lasting one year with the possibility of extension based on performance and project workload.
  • A hybrid work schedule is available, allowing for remote work 3-4 days per week.
  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a target of 45 hours per week; overtime may be required.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting/CAD, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience and skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the mechanical drafting field.
  • Working knowledge of ASME/ANSI drafting standards.
  • Proficient in general Windows-based computer skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault software.
  • Ability to adapt to company standards and guidelines.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
