Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Construction Consulting Practice in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will work with a dynamic and diverse team to advise and assist utility clients on large and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow our utility consulting business by expanding and managing client relationships
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities and promote our service offerings
  • Serve as the main liaison between clients and Exponent
  • Manage the performance of our team and the quality of our services and deliverables
  • Advise and assist utility clients in areas such as construction advisory, project management, and risk management
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor staff in the areas of utility advisory consulting
  • Promote our expertise in utility advisory by meeting with potential clients, presenting at conferences, and writing thought leadership articles
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree(s) and registration are desirable
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in utility advisory
  • Significant experience in utility advisory, including portfolio, program, and project management, project controls and scheduling, risk management, and process improvements
  • Proven business development and client management track record, and the ability to attract projects to support full-time staff
