BYD COACH & BUS LLC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing transit buses under warranty, as well as providing customer support and performing maintenance campaigns.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair warranty-related issues on transit buses
- Provide customer interface and reports on field maintenance activities
- Respond to customer requests, comments, or complaints as needed
- Assist customers with maintenance-related issues
- Order parts as needed and coordinate repairs
- Provide daily service reports and parts requisitions as needed
- Coordinate new vehicle delivery acceptance with customers
- Provide daily status reporting to the Customer Service Manager/Supervisor
- Follow up with parts clerks for parts availability and ETA
- Knowledge of transit bus maintenance operations and field service support
- Minimum of two years' experience in transit bus maintenance and repair
- ASE Transit Bus Certifications
- Transit bus technician experience, preferably in a field service environment
- Experience with bus maintenance and repair, including computer-based diagnostics
- Experience with bus electric drive systems preferred
- Ability to travel and work in the customer's environment
- Valid driver's license in home state and no more than one infraction during previous three years
- Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred
