Job Summary:
ECS is seeking a skilled Information Technology Specialist to join our team in Crystal City, VA. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering microcomputer and desktop systems, as well as providing technical support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure desktops, portable microcomputers, peripherals, and software products for networked, classified, and unclassified environments.
- Detect, diagnose, and resolve desktop and portable microcomputer software and hardware failures.
- Provide technical guidance and instruction on the use of desktop and portable microcomputer hardware and software.
- Analyze and assess customers' service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.
- Conduct IT audits to ensure compliance with policies governing the administration, utilization, and acquisition of desktop and portable microcomputer products.
- Prepare progress and status reports for team leads.
- Utilize trouble-ticketing software to manage tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identify and document areas for process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with customers through various channels.
- Prepare equipment for reuse or surplus of property actions.
- Provide technical support for customers assigned to remote locations.
- Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple microcomputers.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with operating systems, business applications, and microcomputer hardware platforms.
- Industry certification(s) desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military experience.
- Knowledge of DoD organizations, culture, and processes.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Master's degree.
