POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Client Relationship Associate involve delivering exceptional member experiences during every interaction, whether in-person or via phone. This role requires keen observation of member cues, effective questioning techniques, and the ability to foster both consumer and business relationships by accurately identifying member needs and presenting appropriate VyStar financial solutions.

This essential position in relationship management must articulate VyStar Credit Union's unique value proposition compared to competitors while emphasizing the importance of educating and proactively assisting members in achieving their financial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize each member interaction, both on the phone and in-person, to create outstanding member experiences, from initial greetings to strengthening and enhancing relationships through meaningful conversations and effective cross-selling of credit union solutions.

Recognize member cues, employ open-ended discovery questions, and cultivate consumer and business relationships by accurately identifying member needs.

Understand and effectively position consumer and business deposit, credit, insurance, and investment solutions.

Process personal and business account transactions, open new accounts, and handle various types of loan applications.

Explain the fundamentals of credit and savings options while effectively referring more complex business products, mortgage solutions, investment options, and insurance services.

Provide additional member services, including account maintenance, notary services, wire transfers, savings bond redemptions, safe deposit box services, fraud claims, and credit card disputes.

Support and engage in all Credit Union initiatives and campaigns.

Exercise sound judgment and discretion while adhering to established limits and guidelines.

Work with a degree of independence to achieve objectives.

Demonstrate a high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with members and partners consistently.

Resolve member issues independently, striving to find solutions that lead to a favorable outcome, while escalating more complex concerns as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in sales and/or customer service, community service, military service, or similar roles involving inquiry, recommendations, and referrals is preferred, particularly within a financial institution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Previous experience in a sales and/or customer service role, ideally within a financial institution, community service, or military service is preferred.

Ability to accurately process transactions and requests.

Must possess and demonstrate excellent listening skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Proficient in utilizing the Internet and Microsoft Office applications.

Must exhibit an outgoing personality and a genuine desire to assist others.

Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are required.
