Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our team at Huron-Clinton Metroparks. As a Golf Shop Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating the golf shop, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide patrons with excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
  • Tee Time Reservations: Schedule tee time reservations, including online reservation processing, to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for golfers.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Check in golfers, accept payment using a point of sale system, and maintain accurate daily revenue reports.
  • Merchandise Sales: Responsible for the sale of golf shop merchandise, including stocking and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the golf shop and immediate area, including restrooms, are kept clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Stock Management: Unload stock items and place them in appropriate storage areas, and inform the Golf Service Manager of low inventories.
  • Change Fund Management: Maintain an adequate change fund and accurate daily revenue reports.
  • Tee Flow Management:
Maintain an orderly flow of golfers off #1 and #10 tees.Promotions: Promote the Metroparks and Metropark events to increase visibility and engagement.Support Services: Assist the Golf Service Manager with other related tasks as needed.Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively using telephone and in person.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to remain professional and courteous with customers.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate computer and use applicable software program, and accurately perform cash transactions including making change.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in all weather conditions and varied hours depending upon park demands.
  • Teamwork: Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors.
  • Flexibility: May be required to work assigned Special Events, Weekends, Evenings, and Holidays, and adjust schedule to meet organizational needs.
